Building
links to your site is an ongoing task, and also the most important task if you
want to rank well and continue to rank well. Getting creative and having
multiple resources for building links is key.
When
looking for places to build links, there are a couple of qualifiers to
consider.
First,
will you get direct traffic from the link you are building? This is a
good litmus test to gauge the quality of the link. If you can expect some
direct traffic from the link, then generally speaking it is a good link to
build.
Second,
is the site you are building links on a quality site? Knowing the PR of a
site is a good, quick way to gauge its quality. If you can build links
from a site with a page rank of 7, you are going to derive more benefits than
if you are building links on a site with no page rank (all other things being
equal).
Third,
does the site relate to your site? Building links on sites that are
closely related to your site improves the relevance of your link, and gives it
added value.
With the
updates constantly being rolled out among the search engines, quality is now
becoming vastly more important than quantity. Finding highly related,
quality sites to build your links on is the key to ranking well now and for the
future.
In next post I will Suggest you few High PR websites for creating back-links. Till then learn the above concepts
